Graduate Information Sessions

The Graduate School offers information sessions in order to ensure prospective graduate students can access the information that they need when and how it works best for them. Attending an info session is the best way to find out if our programs are a good fit for you.

We offer three types of information sessions—admissions-led, faculty-led, and on-demand.

Option 1: Attend an Admissions-led Info Session

We encourage all prospective graduate students to begin their journey by attending an admissions-led information session. Offered both in person and online, the admissions-led info sessions are excellent opportunities to learn more about each program, or to compare similar programs, in an informal and conversational setting. Each session is led by a Graduate Admissions Counselor who can also provide expert advice regarding the admissions process, expectations for admission, and how to fund your graduate education.

Admissions-led info sessions are offered year-round. All sessions are scheduled for 60 minutes. Times shown are Pacific. Registration for each information session closes 3 hours before the session.

Option 2: View a Program-Specific, On-Demand Info Session

Many of our programs offer an on-demand info session. These sessions are recorded and delivered by the faculty program director and offer an overview of the program, similar to what would be presented in the live version. We suggest prospective students review the on-demand session for their program of choice after they have attended an admissions-led info session or met with a graduate admissions counselor.

Please note that not all programs currently offer on-demand info sessions. The list of available sessions is below. Additional sessions will be added as they become available.

Option 3: Attend a Faculty-led Info Session

Program faculty offer a limited number of in-person and/or virtual information sessions during the fall of each year. These program-specific sessions provide an opportunity for prospective graduate students who have decided on a program to meet the program director and/or program faculty to learn final details about the academic experience and to ask any lingering questions prior to beginning their application.

Faculty offer info sessions October - December. This schedule will be updated when dates become available in the fall.
