Alphonso (he/him/his) grew up in Southern California and lived in the Palm Springs area until moving to the Portland region over a decade ago. He is a graduate of the Marriage, Family, and Couples Therapy program at Lewis and Clark. Alphonso is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with individuals and couples through his own private practice. He also supervises practicum sections at the Lewis and Clark Community Counseling Center for both the PMHC and MCFT programs.

Alphonso works primarily from an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Narrative Therapy approach with an emphasis on bringing a systemic and socially-just lens to his work with students and clients.

When he’s not engaged in therapeutic/academic pursuits, you can find him outdoors or at Target with his wife and three young children.
