Yes, there is a part-time option in the MAT Elementary program, available to district employees. Learn more at: https://graduate.lclark.
The full-time program is 12-14 months, which begins each year in mid-June. Students completing the licensure portion of the program often have their Oregon teaching licenses in hand by the end of July.
The part-time cohort for district employees complete the program in two years, which begins each year in June: https://graduate.lclark.
Once admitted to the program, you will be asked to complete a Placement Application where you may indicate your preferences. It is very important that you allow the placements to be done by the college. Do not contact the schools directly or it may jeopardize your placement and the process and procedure that must be followed.
Candidates enrolled in the part-time cohort will be matched with a classroom teacher in the school where they work. The placement is made through a partnership between the school district and Lewis & Clark’s placement office.
Teaching is located in room 402 of Rogers Hall on the Graduate Campus.
