James M. Wallace Scholarship
Honors Professor Emeritus of Education James Wallace for his 24 years of teaching teachers at Lewis & Clark and is awarded to a pre-service MAT student accepted into the intern program who has demonstrated a commitment to the progressive philosophy that places students at the center of learning (according to the theories of educators such as John Dewey and Maria Montessori). This is the first graduate school scholarship to be named for a professor.
