Hybrid Track, Part-Time and Full-Time

Lewis & Clark is launching a Hybrid Track of the long-standing School Psychology Education Specialist (EdS) degree program. The new Hybrid Track is tailored to the working professional, enabling you to advance your career in school psychology with a program that honors your already busy schedule.

Strategically designed to increase access to Lewis & Clark’s School Psychology Program, the School Psychology Hybrid Track provides educational opportunities to individuals living and working in rural communities across Oregon who plan to serve rural schools in their work as future school psychologists.

Program Details

The 64-credit Hybrid Track will offer full-time (3 years) and part-time (4+ years) options.

Hybrid Track Overview

  • Hybrid Track classes will primarily be held online. Students will be expected to come to the Lewis & Clark campus in Portland at the start of the program for an in-person orientation and approximately once each term for in-person coursework.
  • Courses will be held in the afternoons, evenings, and on weekends to accommodate the schedules of K-12 educators.
  • To be eligible for this track, applicants must live or work in rural communities where access to in-person training programs is not available.
  • Prior to formal admission, applicants will need to confirm there is a school psychologist in their local school district/ESD who can serve as their fieldwork supervisor. The program will assist with this process.
  • Competitive applicants will have experience working with children in K-12 schools and/or mental health settings, a strong mission of advocacy and promoting social justice and equity, and a commitment to life-long learning.
