Frankie DiFerdinando

Director of Lewis & Clark Problem Gambling Services, Supervisor, Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Gambling Addiction Counselor II
(she/her)

Hello, my name is Frankie (she/her) and I have been in the counseling field since 2016. I have worked in community mental health, addiction treatment centers, and group private practice. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Gambling Addiction Counselor II, and have been the Director of Lewis & Clark Problem Gambling Services since 2018.

I’m also an adjunct professor at the Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education & Counseling as well as a Problem Gambling Consultant for those seeking certification around the state of Oregon.

I have a particular passion for working with individuals and families who are navigating addiction and recovery, as well as trauma symptoms and relationships. I tend to approach therapy from a very relational, collaborative, and curious stance with the understanding that you hold the answers and my job is to help provide specific tools, highlight insights, and create a safe place for you to explore openly. Sometimes I will be curious with you, sometimes I might use humor, and sometimes I might be more direct because I care about your growth and recovery. In addition, I believe that our human experience is greatly impacted by the social, cultural, and economic systems we are living within. I tend to bring in larger powers at play that might be exacerbating your experience based on the identities you hold. Together we can explore how to best navigate these systems when we are unable to change them.
