Springhill Scholarship
The Springhill Scholarship will provide financial aid for students pursuing a degree in Professional Mental Health Counseling, specializing in addictions or students who are pursuing a degree in Art Therapy at the Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling. The scholarship is awarded by the graduate school’s financial aid department to students with demonstrated need.
Trustee Jim Spencer graduated from Lewis & Clark College in 1985. During a career that included government, business and the not-for-profit sectors, Jim became increasingly aware of the critical need for practitioners of mental health services in our society. Upon joining the Board of Trustees in 2014, Jim learned firsthand about the unique, community based approach to training and educating mental health professionals taught at the Graduate School of Education and Counseling. Jim established The Springhill Scholarship in 2022 to provide financial aid to students wishing to pursue professional degrees in Mental Health Counseling, Specialization in Addictions, or Art Therapy.
