2. As a research study participant. The Art Therapy Program is simultaneously conducting a research study exploring the intervention of exhibiting artwork to support treatment with people who experience social anxiety. The study intends to help educate professionals on ethical considerations and the therapeutic value of being heard and seen in art therapy treatment.
Artwork submitted by study participants will be shared online for three months as part of the non-juried exhibit, with the option to share it in the juried Community Counseling Center Studio show for one month. Study participants will be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift card and will receive support with hanging their artwork if they choose to display it in the juried exhibition.
Prospective study participants must complete the pre-screening to determine eligibility prior to submitting their artwork.

Non Juried Exhibit
Online January - February 2024 on Lewis & Clark’s Art Therapy website.
The online exhibit is open to anyone who wants to submit art about how making art is therapeutic for them. Art therapy can help people interpret, express, and resolve their emotions and thoughts. This could include any art that aids in self-expression. The show will be broad enough that participants can make art around any topic or emotion they choose. The art doesn’t need to be made with an art therapist, and the participants don’t have to be trained in art or therapy in any way. Participants in the exhibit will write a brief description of their artwork. The submitted work can be 2D, 3D, video or poetry. Artists will have the option to be identified, use a pseudonym, or submit anonymously.
