Sam Singh

Hello there! My name is Sam (they/them) and I am currently a 3rd year graduate student in the Professional Mental Health Counseling - Specialization in Addictions program at Lewis & Clark. I am originally from California and moved out to Portland several years ago to complete my undergraduate education and enjoy the beautiful PNW. I have been part of the team at L&C Problem Gambling services since 2020 and have been working with individuals and families who are negatively impacted by gambling addiction. I was drawn to this profession due to my own lived experience with addiction and being impacted with addiction within my family system. I am passionate about supporting individuals navigate addiction as I understand the pain this can cause the person experiencing addiction and their loved ones. I value providing resources, increasing knowledge about addiction, highlighting strengths, increasing connection, and empowering individuals and loved ones personally impacted by addiction.
