Researches and specializes in:

I have been a practicing art therapist since 1999. I have 14+ years providing open studio art therapy to the community servicing a wide variety of individuals. I also have specialized in working with at-risk youth and the LGBTQIA+ population. My current practice is primarily via telehealth, working with a variety of ages (10 years old and up). My theoretical lens aligns with a postmodernist approach, drawing from intersectionality, social constructionism, feminism, queer theory, and antiracism. I believe human beings will always be growing/evolving and the therapeutic relationship relies on empathy, language, storytelling, and art. I believe in the importance of acknowledging, questioning, and creatively dismantling historical systemic power structures that have been in place and have unfairly disadvantaged individuals. I also provide ATR/LAT supervision to newer art therapists.
