Position description

Facilitate a group of 3-4 male students in 6th grade to encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential despite remote learning.
Develop a rhythm with students to support on-line learning during this difficult time.
Enrich 6th graders with creative leadership
Motivate and inspire kids to stay on track through creative problem solving.
Maintain safety protocol and keep kids safe.


Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:

Support students with their LO instruction and off-line projects.
Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials on their computers.
Manage student behavior and enforcing rules and maintain discipline
Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
Establish and communicate clear objectives for behavior and daily activities.
Provide a variety of supplementary learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
When students are not on-line, provide brain brakes and time for outside play


Structure

5 days a week
Hours between 3-4 hours a day
1 house per week


Knowledge Skills and Ability Required:

B.A/B.S degree in teaching from an accredited institution or related field teaching
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Must have the ability and proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
Ability to use technology and help students troubleshoot.
Be flexible and nimble.
Be patient.
Be influential with 6th grade male students
