Job Opportunity: Part-Time Spanish Teacher
Part-Time Spanish position at Columbia High School with possibly: Math, English, Health or Physical Education Beginning in the 2015-16 school year

Required Qualifications
- Valid Washington State teaching certificate and highly qualified in Spanish
- Demonstrated ability to articulate, plan, and implement a balanced Spanish language program that includes reading, writing and oral communication
- Demonstrated ability to integrate technology into the classroom
- Demonstrated ability to implement effective formative and summative assessment practices that promote student engagement and learning growth
- Demonstrated ability to relate positively and productively with a variety of students, staff and parents
- Demonstrated ability to articulate and implement teaching practices that develop the social and emotional intelligences of high school students
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in second language acquisition
- Demonstrated ability to productively collaborate with colleagues in a Professional Learning Community environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Highly qualified in Math, Language Arts, Health or Physical education
- Ability to articulate and implement effective practices to assist second-language learners and Special Education students
- Ability and desire to coach athletics and/or advise clubs
- Commitment to participate in extra-curricular activities
- Knowledge of working within an extended period classroom
- Familiarity with the new Smarter Balanced testing
