Patricia Hasbach addresses Ecotherapy at recent and upcoming conferences

Collaborative Ethics: Avoiding Complaints and Beyond

Dr. Patricia Hasbach was invited back to once again deliver the keynote address at the second Ecopsychology Project Conference held at the Natural History Museum of Utah in Salt Lake City on October 10 and 11.  

The keynote address was titled “Rewilding for Human Flourishing” and explored this new direction of ecopsychology.  Click here to read the presentation summary. She also offered a presentation and facilitated a group experience on the topic of “Therapy in the Face of Climate Change.” This program highlighted how clinicians could utilize ecotherapeutic practices and methods to address the chronic stressors associated with climate change. 

The interdisciplinary conference was  sponsored by the Utah Psychological Association and many community partners including The Jung Society of Utah, the University of Utah, the Center for the Living City, the Salt Lake Center for Science Education, 350.0rg, Peaceful Uprising, and CodePink.  

On November 13, Dr. Hasbach will participate as a panelist to speak about ethics in non-traditional settings at the professional development conference, “Collaborative Ethics: Avoiding Complaints and Beyond” sponsored by the Center for Community Counseling in Eugene, OR.

Dr. Hasbach is a member of the Board of Directors of the Center for Community Counseling that offers counseling to low income individuals and families in Eugene.
