A press release issued today reports on a letter sent by Earthjustice, Earthrise Law Center, and local attorney Hank Bates on behalf of the Buffalo River Watershed Alliance, National Parks Conservation Association, The Ozark Society and Arkansas Canoe Club. The letter charges the Arkansas DEQ with monitoring water for hog waste contamination in the wrong fields, knowing that those fields would not receive waste from the factory hog farm threatening the Buffalo National River in Arkansas.
