We will read poetry and essays to foster conversations and facilit ate our own writing. Throughout the workshop\, we will acknowledge and em brace all the women who came before us\, as we plan how to sustain and tr ansform the strength of these past experiences into our work as women and as educators.During this workshop\, participants will:Connect with other women of color who understand the complexity of navigating diverse roles in diverse settings Write a narrative exploring our past and present ex periences to define our through-line for what we do and why we do it Dev elop a lesson plan based on an idea or strategy presented during sessions Day at GlanceOpening \; | \; Who We Are and Where We Come Fro m Introductions\, setting purpose and intentions Main Stage \; | 0\; Mentor Texts\, Writing\, Share Writing We will read several mentor te xts as inspiration to brainstorm\, list\, and write our own pieces.
