Disrupting the Cycle of Toxic Masculinity

Date: 4:30pm PDT April 4 Location: TBA

TBA

In this course for educators, participants will analyze the effects of toxic masculinity and how they play out in our classrooms, communities, and lives. Through personal narratives and critical analysis, participants will reflect on the artifacts, people, and moments that defined “masculinity” for them and examine how those definitions manifest themselves in our work. Participants will then create lessons that help disrupt the cycle of toxic masculinity present in our society.

Together, we will create a definition for Toxic Masculinity Education, based on the workshops, lectures, and discussions within the class. Each participant will develop a lesson plan based on an idea or strategy presented during sessions, and will return to their classrooms with strategies to combat toxic masculinity.

Please register no later than Friday, March 22nd
