Part of the workshop series, How Play Becomes Real: The Art of Gestalt Play Therapy. This series explores the work of Gestalt Play Therapist Dr. Violet Oaklander and provides models and applications of how play and art help therapy become real for both adults and children.
In this session, we will explore a wide-range of both handmade and purchased decks of picture cards (e.g. animals, scenes from around the world, the sea, etc.) and learn how they help facilitate engagement with clients, as well as applications to incorporate their use into the counseling process with children, adolescents and adults.
