  • The Lewis & Clark Bookstore will begin returning overstock textbooks in preparation for the summer session and our annual inventory.  If you still need to purchase a book for your spring courses, please do so immediately!
  • Do you love learning about other cultures and inspiring students? The Columbia School of English is seeking energetic and dedicated instructors for our academically-focused Intensive English Program. As an ESL Instructor you will be responsible for teaching English to your own class of students and supervising their progress. ESL Instructors are supported by our staff and will receive continual training and professional development.

  • Lines for Life is offering a Spring training session for new volunteers! Training will be on Saturdays starting April 19th for 5 weeks. One year commitment required.
  • Ever come across a reference to a print article or book chapter that’s held at Watzek Library, but you don’t use it because you don’t have time to go and get it? Problem solved! The Access Services department will provide a scanned copy of a single article or book chapter to your desktop. Use your Interlibrary Loan (ILL) account to place the request.
  • The library purchased new videos on counseling, many of which were requested specifically by faculty members. A sampling of titles: Multicultural competence awareness, knowledge, and skills, Suicide assessment and prevention, and Alcohol and drug counselling skills. These and many more are available to you. Ask a librarian to help you find videos for study and teaching.
  • Google Books search allows you to search across the contents of over 12 million books held by American libraries and scanned by Google. Some books’ are available full-text; for others, you get preview pages with your keywords highlighted. You can then find the book here at Lewis and Clark or another library and access the full content. Read more about it here.

    Watzek will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, March 21, as we make our way into Spring Break. We’ll be open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., March 22-23, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., March 24-28. Regular hours will resume on Saturday, March 29. Complete info on our hours can be found here.
  • The Student Health Service will be closed beginning on Monday, March 24 and extending through Sunday, March 30. We will reopen on Monday, March 31.  During the closure, our Nurse Consultation Service will be available to all students 24/7 at 1-800-607-5501.

  • Third Culture Kids (TCKs) or Global Nomads are individuals who have spent a significant part of their lifetimes outside their parents’ cultures, usually because of their parents’ work. The “Third Culture” refers to the a combination of the expatriate culture in which the students often live, the culture of their passport country, and the culture of the host country. Lewis & Clark offers support services for students who fall into this category
