2021-22 In-Home Teaching Opportunities for MAT Alumni

At this time we are not accepting new postings for in-home teaching opportunities. If it is determined that there is again a need for this resource when the 2021-22 school year begins, we will reinstate this service.

To legally operate, learning pods of more than three children may be subject to licensing by the Oregon Department of Education Early Learning Division. Full details are available here and all questions should be directed to the ELD. Failure to comply with licensing requirements can result in a fine of $200 per child, per day, that the unlicensed pod is operating. Learning pods operating as private elementary or secondary schools are not subject to licensing oversight by the ELD; however, they must comply with the governor’s directive that outlines the state/county metrics that must be met in order to offer any in-person instruction. In addition, each private school/pod would need to submit a blueprint outlining their operating plans by mid-August to the Oregon Department of Education. All questions regarding these requirements should be directed to ODE.
