Managing Media: Tools for Elementary Students

In this workshop we will review the effects of media on children and provide practical and fun classroom lessons that help students balance media consumption with other life activities.
This workshop is part of our 2012-2013 Workshop Series.

About the Instructors
Lynea Gillen has been practicing yoga since 1973, is a Registered Yoga Teacher, and has over 30 years of experience as a school teacher and counselor. She is the coauthor of Yoga Calm for Children: Educating Heart, Mind and Body, and had trained over 700 counselors, school teachers, occupational therapist and nurses in Yoga Calm®.
Carolyn Jones, LCSW, has 30 years experience as a special and general education teacher,School Counselor, Behavioral Specialist, and Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports Trainer and Coach for schools. Carolyn is the owner of Upward Consulting in Salem, Oregon, and works with school staff and families to help create nurturing environments for all children’s success.
