Do you offer a specialty in addictions treatment?
Yes! Currently, this is the only such program available in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska. This program is based on the most current national standards. It integrates preparation for addictions counseling with general mental health/community counseling. Graduates meet requirements to pursue licensure as an Oregon Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and for several addictions counseling certificates.
We also offer a certificate-preparation program in addiction studies. This program allows persons who hold Master’s degrees in appropriate fields to take a group of graduate-level courses that prepare them to qualify for one or more certificates in addictions counseling without pursuing a full degree program.
