Educational Administration Prerequisites

The Educational Specialist degree in Administration is intended for students who hold master’s degrees and are seeking to earn their Oregon Principal License and begin coursework towards earning their Professional Administrator License, in addition to their EdS.

  1. Applicants must have earned a master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States (the college or university must be regionally accredited when the degree was conferred) or the foreign equivalent.
  2. Applicants must document licensure as either a teacher or personnel service specialist in any state.
  3. Applicants must document three years of successful teaching and/or personnel service experience (including Speech Pathology) in the public schools or regionally accredited private schools.

* You may still apply if you do not meet prerequisites 2, or 3. You will be able to request a waiver through the online application which will be reviewed by faculty. Faculty may ask for additional documentation.

Educational Administration Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission, the application and all supporting materials must be received by the Graduate Admissions Office on or before the published application deadline.  Applicants can login to the application status page to confirm the receipt of supporting materials.
