The Permanency Specialist plays a vital role in this commitment.

We are looking for a highly motivated team player to join the Permanency team. This position helps youth in foster care become more prepared for healthy, permanent relationships with caring adults through the use of the 357© Model. Successful candidates will have strong personal communication skills orally and written, outstanding clinical skills, experience working with youth who come from hard places, a flexible schedule, and a willingness to learn. Candidates should enjoy teamwork and be self-motivated, capable of following protocols while maintaining positive relationships with clients, co-workers and community partners. This position requires travel throughout Portland Metro and Mid-Willamette Valley. Must be able to self-transport and occasionally transport youth.

Part Time, 30 hours with benefits, dependent on the needs of the program, additional hours may be assigned.

Requires a Master’s degree with one year post graduate experience or a bachelor’s degree in relevant field plus four years of relevant experience in social work, counseling or psychology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Bi-lingual/Bi-cultural English/Spanish preferred

Must be able to provide appropriate services and interact appropriately with people from diverse socio-economic, racial, ethnic, and other cultural groups.

Must possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence (Oregon or Washington), personal automobile liability insurance, reliable personal transportation, and pass a DMV driving record check.

Must successfully pass pre-employment reference checks, criminal background check, including, if applicable, fingerprinting.
