Fire Mountain School hiring Elementary Class Teacher (Grades 2-4) 2017-2018

April 03, 2017

Fire Mountain School is an independent alternative school located at the northern edge of Oswald West State Park and adjacent to Cape Falcon Marine Preserve. Children go on nature hikes through the adjoining old-growth forests and to the beach from the school’s back door. This unique setting provides the opportunity for children to become connected with their environment. We are dedicated to assisting children in their ongoing work of exploring and making sense of the world. Since 1983, teachers and parents have joined together to create a community structure within which children experience discovery, challenge, experimentation, risk, failure and mastery.
