Nominations open for Student Commencement Speaker

Nominations are now open for the graduate student commencement speaker. The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, January 27th. (This year’s graduate school commencement ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2017.)

If you or someone you know is eligible to participate in this June’s Lewis & Clark Graduate School commencement ceremony and are interested in representing the student voice during the celebratory event, you are invited to complete the nomination form found at:

https://graduate.lclark.edu/commencement/speakers/

Nominations will be accepted through Friday, January 27th.  Nominees will be contacted during the week of January 30th with directions on submitting one-to-two page speech drafts (which will be due by Friday, February 10th). From the drafts, a pool of finalists will be identified. Following readings by the finalists with the student commencement speaker selection committee, the student speaker will be selected (by Spring Break).
