Extension and Enhancement of Kids Club

Kids Club is currently funded through a 21st Century No Child Left Behind federal grant. David Douglas school district, in collaboration with Lewis & Clark and two other partners, received over 1.4 million dollars over a period of five years.  Funding ends next year. David Douglas is committed to sustaining its partnership with Lewis & Clark in order to enhance and extend its after-school programming in the district. The Extension and Enhancement of Kids Club program, will serve to develop a plan for improving and expanding the district’s after-school program to include all ten elementary schools (as desired by David Douglas School District), and write grants and elicit funding from available sources to implement this extended after-school opportunity.
