New Offering: CORE 585-11: Curiosity Books
What are the real pleasures of nonfiction? How is nonfiction
changing?
What are the real pleasures of nonfiction? How is nonfiction
changing? What are the borderlines between “narrative
nonfiction” and invention?
Simultaneously, knowledge keeps changing, from the number of
planets in the solar system to the names of dinosaurs, to the
DNA of human ancestors. With an eye to the concerns of
educators, students, parents, and community members, Dr. Marc
Aronson will share his passion for nonfiction and provide
insights into selecting and using distinguished nonfiction
resources.
To earn the CORE credit, register on WebAdvisor by Tuesday,
December 9. Then attend the dinner and workshop on Friday,
December 12, and email an annotated bibliography with 5-7 text
titles you would use in support of exploring social justice in
your classroom or counseling setting. Email your bibliography
$15 fee for box dinner.
