Updates from the Student Health Service

Urgent care hours during NSO, measles vaccine requirements, and patient scheduling changes.

We have some IMPORTANT updates concerning the Student Health Service that we want you to be aware of.

  1. NSO Clinic Hours We will be open for urgent care only on a first come first service basis: Thursday August 28th 1:00pm - 3:30pm Friday August 29th 10:00am - 11:30am and 1:00pm - 3:30pm
  2. Measles vaccine requirement Oregon law requires that all students be immunized against measles (MMR) or qualify for either a non-medical or medical exemption. Student who have not met the measles (MMR) vaccine requirement will experience a registration HOLD. Registration holds will be placed Thursday at 1pm. Students can bring their vaccine records to the Student Health Service or have their records faxed to 503 768-7167. Bess will be in the registrar office Thursday evening from 7pm - 10pm to receive records, release holds and answer questions.
  3. Patient scheduling: The Student Health Service will no longer have Walk-in Clinic or walk-in hours each morning during the academic year. Students will be seen by appointment. Same day or next day appointments should be regularly available. Students can call 503 768-7165 or come by the clinic to make an appointment. However, if a student needs to be seen immediately for example because of an injury or an asthma flare we would of course see that student without an appointment. Students can choose a time to be seen that fits their schedule avoiding the long waits in the Walk-in Clinic.

We wish you all the best during this academic year.
