Do I need to be admitted to a program before I can register for a class?

While we encourage you to be admitted to your program as close to the start of the program as possible, you may register for and take a class at any time (using “special student” registration). However, you may only complete 9 hours of credit before you must be admitted to a program and you must be admitted prior to beginning a practicum, internship, or student teaching.
