As teachers\, counselors\, and change a gents in schools and communities we hear stories of personal and social d evastation in our daily practice\; we see pervasive images of ecological\ , economic\, and social devastation everywhere we look. \; Each day w e encounter signs of injustice and opportunities to make change. It is ea sy to feel overwhelmed. The pathways toward change are often difficult to see.
\;
How do we balance our drive to address suff ering and oppression with the necessity of maintaining our energy and our vibrant personal lives? What would we need to move from feelings of indi vidual powerlessness to action for social transformation? In this workshop\, we will dialogue together in small and large groups to share methods and practices for creating a life of balance and more ef fective strategies for social change.
