Before joining the MFP\, he complet ed an M.S. in psychology at Palo Alto University. He received a BS in e conomics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an M.Div. in pastoral psychology at the Eastern Baptist Theological Seminar y in Philadelphia.
