Partici pants will have an opportunity to consider the legislative and social pro cesses\, including the slow passage of dehumanizing laws\, which led to a n environment in which full-scale genocide could take place in Europe a s hort 70 years ago. Through the interactive process of reading through th e anti-semitic laws that were passed\, we'll engage in conversations abou t the possible reasons behind the legislation and the subsequent social e ffects. \; Participants will also examine how these processes compar e and differ in the U.S. today\, and what we can do now to stand against dehumanizing legislation.
