The author of 25 books translated into 28 languages\, and several hundred articles\, Gard ner is best known in educational circles for his theory of multiple intel ligences\, a critique of the notion that there exists but a single human intelligence that can be adequately assessed by standard psychometric ins truments.Michael Geisen is the 2008 National Teacher of the Year and a 7t h-grade science teacher at Crook County Middle School in Prineville\, Ore gon. He has become a spokesperson for education\, teaching educators\, po licy-makers\, and business people around the world about high-quality tea ching and learning.
