The controlled mechanistic systems\, in which most organizat ions operate today aren't nimble enough to meet today's complex challenge s. New professional and relational skills are needed. \;Skills learn ed from living systems like adaptive leadership\, interdependence\, patte rn awareness\, and new organizational strategies like self-organization a nd emergence – provide guidance for these tough issues. Participants i n this course will explore how natural systems provide the tools\, strate gies\, and language for viewing engagement processes in a different way\, establishing renewed capacity for change. As a rafting team\, we will p ractice interdependence\, letting go of control\, and being fully engaged in the present moment.
