The focus will be on process drama rather than performance skills for the sake of inclu sion and multi-modal understanding. Discussions will center around cultu ral and linguistic awareness and how movement and drama can be used to en hance group cohesion\, as vehicles for instruction\, and as additional fo rms of assessment. Participants will learn a series of movement and clas sroom drama activities designed for in-service K-12 teachers and be given time to debrief and collaborate with colleagues\, and go away with tools for integrating these activities with current best practices and content objectives. Si nce moving to Oregon her work has focused on encouraging young people to cultivate literacy\, communication\, teamwork\, empathy\, and creativity through the dramatic arts in both English and Spanish.
