Sure\, you will be able to take what you learn back to your cla ssroom\, but this is a day to be a writer. Our guest for this year's ret reat is Oregon author and activist Martha Gies\, who will lead participan ts in a writing workshop in the morning portion of the retreat\, alongsid e OWP Director Linda Christensen\, M.Ed (https://graduate.lclark.edu/facu lty/members/linda_christensen/). \;In the afternoon of the retreat Li nda Christensen will lead the group in discussion and more writing activi ties. Martha Gies' work\, both fiction and nonfiction\, has been publish ed widely in newspapers\, magazines\, and literary quarterlies\, includin g Orion\, The Sun\, and Zyzzyva.
