Join district, building, and content-level leadership teams from school districts around Oregon to learn how we can work together in a supportive network to actualize the instructional shifts necessary to implement the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). We can do this together!

Bring your team and learn to:

  • Understand how the Learning Forward Standards for Professional Learning are foundational to successful implementation of the CCSS
  • Use the School District Professional Learning System Readiness Assessment Tool to analyze school/district self-assessment of CCSS implementation
  • Identify key areas where additional attention may be needed to support CCSS implementation
  • Provide a rationale for using multiple learning designs
  • Identify five to seven appropriate learning designs for achieving set professional learning goals
  • Draft a professional learning plan using a variety of learning designs

Why should you attend?

Implementation of the CCSS is a shared responsibility of all educators.  Recognizing the need to support each other in the implementation process, Learning Forward Oregon is committed to building capacity for sustained professional learning that supports CCSS implementation.

Co-sponsored by Learning Forward Oregon, Oregon Department of Education, and Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling.
