Food Writing in the Pacific Northwest

This workshop will use food as a way to explore the culture of the Pacific Northwest. Starting with raw ingredients such as soil, rain, beans, and fish, participants will write the dish of their life using ingredients from their place. This workshop is designed for both teachers and writers.

About the Instructor
Linda Colwell specializes in School Garden Education and Farm to School programs for private and public schools. Linda created the Eat Think Grow curriculum in support of school- garden and place-based education. Her work includes The Abernethy School Kitchen Garden and the Abernethy Scratch Kitchen. She is a board member of Zenger Farm and a former member of the Portland Public Schools Wellness Advisory committee. Linda received her culinary training in France and works at Ayers Creek Farm in Gaston, Oregon.
