This course will provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge accumulated from the prior three courses in order to receive certification in eating disorder treatment.
The course will meet for four Saturdays. The first three Saturdays will cover topics touched on in the first three courses in greater depth (adolescents, personal accounts, minority populations, substance abuse and eating disorders and an overview of effective clinical practice) and give students an opportunity to practice therapeutic skills related to eating disorders.
Students will be working on an in-depth research paper or project while in the class (with approval from the professor), which they will present on the last Saturday of the course.
This course is part of our Eating Disorders Certificate Program
