Graduate Technology Resources

A number of resources exist to support the graduate school community’s computer and media needs. The Information Technology Office is a one-stop shop for nearly all tech support needs on campus, including email services, computer training courses, Moodle support, and more.

Service Desk

The service desk is located on the lower floor of Watzek Library and can be contacted via phone or email. This is your first stop for help with any LC-technology related question.

Email

All members of the Lewis & Clark community have a unique email address and access to our electronic mail services. Your mail can be accessed online using LCMail, powered by Google. For email support (including creating an account, changing a password, and setting vacation messages), visit the Account Management page.

Wireless Internet Access

Wireless access is available across the graduate, law, and undergrad campus. Find a study space and access wifi in spots such as the York Graduate Center, Corbett House, Corbett Annex and Rogers Hall. To log in, choose the “PioNet” network and enter your LC username [LCXX-XXXX] and password.

York Graduate Center Computer Labs

The graduate school computer lab is located in York 118. Student ID is required for access. Additional computers can be found in the York Open Computer Center, Watzek Library, and Templeton Student Center.

Printing

Each year, graduate students are allotted 650 sheets of paper for printing in the computer labs; balances can be checked online. You can increase your paper balance for $.06/sheet.

Moodle

Moodle is an open-source learning management system (LMS) which is used at Lewis & Clark as the primary learning system. Many graduate school courses have Moodle sites set up for document sharing, discussion boards, assignments, and more.

TaskStream

TaskStream is the electronic portfolio system used by graduate education programs. Login to track internship and practicum hours, view key assessments, and other important program milestones.

Equipment Checkout

The IT Service Desk loans equipment at its checkout window by reservation, or on a first come first served basis to CAS and Grad students, staff and faculty. Service Desk hours are 9AM - 5PM Monday - Friday. Visit the Service Desk webpage for more information.

Digital Editing Suites & Resource Lab

Students, faculty and staff are welcome to visit the Resource Lab (in the basement of Watzek Library) any time. There, you will find some of the most advanced available photo, video, and design software, poster printing, and support for your multimedia needs. Additionally, you may request specialty prints such as 3D prints, poster prints, photo prints, and more by emailing rlab@lclark.edu.

Google Apps for Education

With Google Apps for Education, every graduate student has email and file storage space, advanced scheduling and shared calendars, and the powerful Google Docs document collaboration suite. For more information, visit the Google help page.
