Professional Administrator License Prerequisites

To be a candidate for the Professional Administrator Program for practicing administrators, you should:

  • Applicants must hold a current Oregon Legacy Administrator license or an Oregon Principal license.
  • Serve as an administrator in an educational setting.
  • Be current in educational trends and research.
  • Be able to demonstrate a desire to collaborate with others and be willing to participate in meaningful dialog about your practice and educational principles.
  • Applicants must have earned a master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States (the college or university must be regionally accredited when enrolled and the degree was conferred) or the foreign equivalent.
