Professional Biography

Laura Pedersen was a school counselor for seven years, primarily at the high school and middle school levels. As a counselor educator for six years, Laura has particularly enjoyed working with students in professional identity formation and in transitioning from the classroom to the school community. Her primary scholarly interests include innovative ways of teaching a transformed model of school counseling, program development, and supervision of school counselor candidates.

Her professional affiliations include, but are not limited to, ASCA, ACES, Oregon School Counselor Association, and the Education Trust.
