- Anyone thinking about doing a micro or macro internship or a practicum in a school site within the Vancouver School District must attend a student placement meeting—contact the district for details.
- Practicum internship hours: 100 per semester, for a total of 200 hours for the year.

Direct service: 55 hours
Supervision: 18 hours (site supervisor = 6; L&C supervisor = 12)
Indirect service (planning/organizing): 27 hours

Macro (SCED 516) Internship Documents
1. All students planning to register for SCED516 Fall/Spring must have attended the MANDATORY planning meeting being held in early Spring, date TBA, AND have a signed preadvising form on file with the office.
2. Students with incompletes on record or missing/expired fingerprint clearance may not register for SCED 502, SCED 506, SCED 516 or SCED 517.
3. Anyone thinking about doing a micro or macro internship or a practicum in a school site within the Vancouver School District you must attend a student placement meeting—contact the district for details.
Program Completion
Testing
In addition to passing scores on either CBEST, Praxis I, NES EAS, or WESTB tests and the ORELA: Civil Rights test, part of the requirements for eligibility for Initial licensure is a passing score on the ORELA: School Counseling test. For more information, log on to www.orela.nesinc.com
IMPORTANT: please send copy of your score report to the School Counseling office as soon as you receive it. You cannot be recommended for licensure without it.
