Because Lewis and Clark's program in School Psychology is approved by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), graduates of this program are eligible for National Certification in School Psychology (NCSP) which is honored in many states (see the NASP website for more information on the NCSP).

Lewis and Clark’s Graduate School of Education and Counseling offers a License-Only Program in School Psychology for a limited number of individuals who possess an advanced degree in an area closely related to school psychology (e.g. PhD in Clinical Psychology). License Only in School Psychology Program completers meet Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) requirements for licensure in School Psychology but do not receive another advanced degree. The majority of License Only in School Psychology Program students require at least a full year of coursework in addition to a full year of internship to complete the program.
