Teaching American History Grant
Collaborating Groups: High Desert Education Service District
Faculty Contact: Janet Bixby
With an award of nearly $1 million, the Department of Education’s Teaching American History Grant supports educators in the improvement of history instruction. Collaborating with the High Desert Education Service District, Lewis & Clark will provide teachers in the high desert region more resources for effective teaching. The five-year grant will fund weekend workshops for educators and support the district in providing online resource sharing to connect teachers in rural communities.
