The Liberation-Based Healing Conference brings together professional therapists with community organizers, educators, faith communities, and activists to promote family and community healing, bolster resilience, and promote social justice and equity.
The unique format of the two-day event—involving both professional training and inviting community members to join the second day of the conference—emphasizes the urgency of connecting mental health workers with community organizations and individuals for effective action around issues of violence, homelessness, racism, poverty, and other challenges that communities face.
