Substitute Teaching

While some Portland Metro Area districts post their substitute teaching positions on EdZapp, your best first step is to contact the HR offices of each of the school districts in which you are interested in substitute teaching to inquire as to their process for hiring teachers into their substitute pools.  You will also need to contact the corresponding education service districts (ESDs) about registering as a substitute teacher in the ESD’s service area.  (You can substitute teach on an Initial Teaching License.)
